| 1972 Ford Ranchero 500 - For Sale! |
I picked up this Ranchero in a trade a year or so ago. Since then I've decided that I probably won't get around to doing anything with it, so I'm offering it up for sale but haven't put much effort into selling it just yet.
It's had fairly recent front end work. Brake pads, rotors, calipers, bushings, bearings, ect. It's also had some work done to the top end of the engine before I picked it up. Currently it's powered by a 400 cubic inch big block backed by an automatic. It's had the heads reworked, a Comp Cams 292 cam & lifter set installed, along with an Edelbrock Streetmaster single plane intake topped by a Holley vacuum secondary carb. Exhaust gasses flow out long tube headers into dual exhaust with turbo mufflers.
The door panels are in good shape, except for the fact that someone cut holes to mount speakers in them.
The seat has normal wear & tear, and the carpet needs to be replaced. The top of the dash is cracked, however the headliner is intact with no tears or sagging areas.
The body is super straight, but it's been repainted at least one time. It's got old school cragar rims on the back with the spinner center caps.
The rear bumper is a bit tweaked. I'm guessing it's been bumped a time or two, and it could be from the factory jack. The trunk floor is not rusted out, and neither are the front floor pans.
A shot of the right quarter.
Here's the other door panel.
A shot of the interior from the passenger side.
A shot of the passenger side, showing how straight the body is. There is one dent, and that's over the headlights. It's small & could easily be worked out.
A shot of the front.
Another shot down the right side.
And a shot looking down the drivers side.
Now for the bad news. Whoever did the front end work didn't get all the tie rods adjusted correctly, therefor it turns sharp one way, but not so sharp the other. I have not had a chance to look at it, and frankly, I have other projects I need to focus on instead of messing with it. It's also got a power steering leak. I'm not sure if it's a hose or a seal in the box. Either way it shouldn't be too hard to fix, and if it's the box itself then I'm sure a cheap replacement can be found most anywhere. Also, this car comes with a BILL OF SALE ONLY. I got it with no title & just a bill of sale, and that's how I'm selling it. Some states don't require titles on vehicles this old, some states require bonded titles, and if it stays in Texas all you should have to do is file for a lost title.
Asking $2500.00 or best offer.
I'd consider partial trades for parts, cars, computers, audio gear, ect. Just contact me & let me know what you've got to offer. Prefer to trade for Ford or Turbo Dodge cars/parts but would consider others.
